SAN JOSE – A 26-year-old San Jose man was arrested in connection with two recent indecent exposure incidents in the city, authorities said Friday.


One of the incidents was reported about 5:20 p.m. April 7 at Wright Place and Gaspar Vista, said San Jose police Sgt. Enrique Garcia in a news release. The suspect, later identified by authorities as Jesus Alberto Chavarria, approached a 22-year-old woman sitting in her vehicle, knocked on the window and tried to open the door. Garcia said Chavarria then lowered his sweatpants and exposed his genitals to the woman.

Chavarria ran toward Los Gatos Creek Trail, but he was arrested by officers, Garcia said. He was booked into Santa Clara County jail on a charge of indecent exposure and later released.

Garcia said detectives continued their investigation and identified Press Release Distribution Service In San Jose Chavarria as a suspect in a second incident, reported about 9:45 a.m. March 21 at Bautista Place and Font Terrace. The suspect approached a 43-year-old woman walking her dog, dropped his pants and exposed his genitals to her, Garcia said. He ran toward Los Gatos Creek trail and was not identified or arrested.
